A LITTLE ABOUT THE AUTHOR...

I was born in Gary, Indiana in 1948.  I have lived in a number of states and traveled and/or visited many others, including Hawaii.  But I was raised primarily in Dallas, where I completed all of my compulsory education and was heavily involved in athletics.  My two favorite cities are New Orleans (cuisine) and New York (culture and excitement); I also very much enjoyed living in Washington, D. C. area (Smithsonian).

I have one daughter, who is currently attending college in Maryland.

INTERESTS

Writing, of course; I also very much enjoy researching and learning in general, particularly in the natural and social sciences.  I consider myself a life-long student.

Museums and galleries fascinate me, and I like almost all music genres, especially classical, jazz, classic rock and ballads of all kinds.  Not surprisingly, I prefer reading nonfiction material, almost anything of interest, because I am insatiably curious.

On a more mundane level, I find people-watching very intriguing.  Aside from a daily dosage of news and sports, I am usually tuned into either the Discovery or Science or Nature channel, and I find documentaries almost always of interest.  I love boating and fishing, although I rarely do either, and I think gardening is a marvelous past time; watching a plant or a vegetable grow is unadulterated “immediate gratification” to someone from whom it takes months, or sometimes years, to rough out a novel.
