Lindy Clark

I was born in Willmar, MN and grew up on a farm near Pennock, MN.  Went to Southwest State University at Marshall, MN and took some creative writing courses.  I went on to Mankato State University in Mankato, MN and graduated with a degree in Human Environment and Design.  I took one year of graduate school in Vocational Rehabilitation Counseling. I have poems published in poetry.com books.  I like to meet creative people and see what they have accomplished.  I also enjoy traveling, swimming, and painting.

Prophecy Shining

Gravity forbids.
Prophecy foretells.
We are going to experience
the clandestine liberation
from the rules
of arbitrary living.
As a vapor we will rise
from the earth
into the brightest
of all heavenly lights
and begin shining
until the darkness breaks.

Newness of Life

Time explodes
and fairy dust
falls everywhere.
We are magically
transformed
into beings of light
so bright
we have to see
with our spirits
and sing
with our souls.

Sands

Shifting sands of emotions
dart
one way
then another
violating the depths
of emptiness
that no joy can fill
.

.

Dark Hope

There is no deeper darkness
than one that does not end.

The tortured know this
only too well.
If given a choice
they would choose
to flee mortality
and enter a blissful eternity.

Through Darkness to Light

Black is a thick color.
At night it unifies
the earth and sky.
In rural areas scattered lights
shine as the stars.
Big city lights
shine as the moon.
At times there is total darkness,
no light, no hope,
and I swim in a sea of darkness
until the sun comes up.
